| Heather Raue Director of Dance Education For 28 years, Ms. Raue has dedicated her life to ballet. Her dancing took her to The Dallas Metropolitan Ballet, Booker T. Washington HSPVA, City Ballet of Houston, Houston Ballet, Boston Ballet, Hartford Ballet and Texas Christian University. Ms. Raue co-founded the Dance Department 7 years ago and presently directs the program as well as instructs ballet at the Crooked Tree Arts Center, Vivace School of Music and Arts, and Harbor Springs Community Schools. This summer, Ms. Raue will go to New York City to receive the 2010 Dance Teacher Award, presented by Dance Teacher Magazine. Students under Heather's instruction have received scholarships and acceptances to study at; School of American Ballet summer & year-round, Pacific Northwest Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet, Chautauqua School of Dance, LINES Ballet School, Exploring Ballet with Suzanne Farrell and Suzanne Farrell's Cedar Island Program, Kirov Ballet Academy's summer and year-round programs, Houston Ballet Academy, Royal Winnipeg Ballet's summer and year-round programs, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, The Ailey School, Hubbard Street Dance, Atlanta Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre's summer & year-round programs, Orlando Ballet, Kaatsbaan, American Academy of Ballet, Deeply Rooted Productions, Jillana, Kansas City Ballet, Virginia School of the Arts, Washington School of Ballet, Oregon Ballet Theatre, American Dance Festival, Gelsey Kirkland Academy of Classical Ballet summer & year-round programs, Ballet Austin, Walnut Hill, North Carolina Dance Theatre summer and year-round programs, The Rock, Cincinnati Ballet, Ballet Chicago's summer and studio company positions, Joffrey Ballet School's Midwest, Chicago and New York summer and trainee programs, Butler University, University of Michigan, Oakland University, Burklyn Ballet, Ballet Met, Northwest Professional Dance Project, Grand Rapids Ballet, Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, North Carolina School for the Arts summer and year-round programs, and Interlochen's summer and year-round programs. Heather Raue is dedicated to preparing young dancers for careers in dance. |
| Hannah Bianchi, age 17, discovered her passion for dance when she began studying ballet at age three in Virginia. Her focus has never wavered. Hannah has attended master classes with Mark Morris, Dance Theater of Harlem, Joffrey Ballet, Patricia Blair, Kevin Iega Jeff, and Grand Rapids Ballet. She has also performed The Nutcracker with Moscow Ballet of Russia. Five years ago, Hannah moved to Michigan and began studying with ballet director Heather Raue, and four years ago, Hannah began assisting Ms. Heather with all lower level ballet classes. Hannah’s dedication and natural inclination for teaching has prompted Ms. Heather to have Hannah instructing barre in most intermediate and intermediate advanced classes. Last summer Hannah attended Deeply Rooted Production's Summer Intensive. Her past summer studies include Deeply Rooted Productions, Joffrey Midwest and Kirov Ballet Academy. Hannah looks forward to spending this summer in New York City studying at The Ailey School. She looks forward to advancing both her technique and teaching skills while looking forward to a career with a professional company.
